We are delighted to announce that our abstract titled "Quantitative Analysis of HFTS-2 Completion Designs using Cross-well Strain Measurements" has been accepted for presentation at the 2023 Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC) in Denver, Colorado. In this enlightening case study, we demonstrate the practical implementation of a geomechanical inversion algorithm to calculate dynamic fracture widths using low-frequency DAS data from multiple offset monitoring wells. By analyzing over 100 treatment stages, we assess the effectiveness of eight completion designs across three injection wells, revealing significant impacts on design efficiency due to varying degrees of limited entry, tapered perforations, and stage length designs. This pioneering study quantifies far-field fracture width using cross-well strain data, providing a unique means to evaluate completion design efficiency.
