This case study provides the first direct observations of horizontal bedding plane slippage using cross-well low-frequency distributed acoustic sensing (LFDAS) in the Sichuan Basin, China. Our findings highlight the potential risks associated with horizontal fracture growth and demonstrate the importance of advanced monitoring and modeling techniques in optimizing stimulation strategies in unconventional reservoirs.
